love eloise is an online magazine for smart women. This is our dating blog.
We love women’s magazines. There is nothing better than a few glossies to accompany you on the beach, the plane, or your super comfy couch. But as much as we love the magazines that are currently available to women, we still found that at the end of each issue there was something missing. We wanted something more.
Scouring the magazine racks at bookstores left us with an overwhelming amount of options, but still nothing was quite right. Like Goldilocks searching for the perfect fit, we found that the majority of current magazines were always just a little too girly or too feminist, too masculine or too boring, too basic or too pretentious, too broad or too specified, too simple or too complicated, too cluttered or just too expensive.
And so, we created love eloiseTM, the online magazine for women. It is a publication for the bright and intellectual woman who is smart, sexy, and sophisticated and who is looking for a little something more in a magazine. Each week we will be bringing you articles that are smart, witty, and will give you more to talk about other than last night’s episode of American Idol.
We’re not going to waste your time. We know that you’re busy and we are not going to offer you lame news on the latest fad diet. We are not going to re-package the same sex advice every month and tell you that it’s the only way to snag a boyfriend. We’re not going to write about the depressing stories that saturate every other paper and, we are not going to cover celebrity gossip, even though we do love the occasionally juicy tabloid dish. We know you can get that kind of information almost anywhere and we hope to bring you a little something different.
Officially launched in May of 2008 (we’re new at this), we are going to try our best to bring you new and clever articles every week. Happy reading and thanks for visiting us.
